Windmills of Kinderdijk

Day two of our Rhine River cruise started with a stop in Kinderdijk, a province of South Holland, Netherlands. Kinderdijk is a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its network of 19 windmills, built-in the 1700s. The windmills are still in operation today, and were designed to move water, as part of the flood-management system.
